Service Description

We'll set you up with everything you need for classroom success and deeper student engagement. No matter the grade we have the experience to engage kindergarteners or senior students with curriculum relevant learning. One of our farmer educators will visit your classroom, set up the equipment, and talk to your class. We have resources and activities for you to do with your students throughout the hatching process, and we are here for you along the way if you need support. Once the chicks hatch we have a brood box for you to keep the chicks in. Typically a classroom will keep the chicks for a week, and then either return them to the farm on a class field trip, or have us pick them up. This program is a great way to engage students in food security issues for older students and lifecycle learning for younger students. A follow up field trip with your class is a great way to keep the connection alive and for the students to see "their" chicks foraging at the farm. Book a date you would like to start the program on. We'll call or email you to follow up.
